Great Bird, ah can finally start talkin' about how great this issue is.

Spiced Peaches XIX has been published - the infamous Simon and Garfunkel Issue.

It can be found here:

http://spockmccoyote.tripod.com/spicedpeachesnineteen

The issue is amazin'. We had 20 different Simon and Garfunkel songs covered using 17 stories, 13 pieces o' art and 3 videos. 11 different coyotes contributed to make this issue amazin'.

We broke the proverbial bank with this one, lassies!!!!

Because this issue, without a doubt, kicks slash butt.

This was the strangest idea I've had in a while, but it worked! Great Bird, tomorrow's publication is going to be amazing.

Now all I have to do is finish the story I've been working on for three months. I wish I weren't such a slow writer; if I weren't, I'd have four or five stories instead of two, and they'd all be long. I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

Most of my stories are here:
http://tempestcoyote.tripod.com/id1.html

The rest have individual links:

http://speachzine.tripod.com/notofthebody/

http://speachzine.tripod.com/fivethings/

http://speachzine.tripod.com/nowenteringaruba/

http://spockmccoyote.tripod.com/an_expression_of_grief/

And since I don't really believe in rules due to being a pseudo-anarchist, to Hell with the word limit.

That doesn't count the other hundreds of stories, just written for fun. And as a result, there are about 600 S/Mc stories to be found.

It's been a great five years.
Spock/McCoyote's Den Massive Update

As you may have been aware, I've been struggling with Tripod for
control of the Den for a while now, due to a couple of problems. The
first being that the Den was so graphic-laden that I couldn't update
the pictures. The second was the the Den was just so big that Tripod
didn't like to save the changes I made. After working for a very
long time, I've managed to regain supremacy and the Den's had a semi-
massive overhaul.

First and foremost, the Den has been updated! Look here:
http://spockmccoyote.tripod.com

We officially have 576 stories on the Den! Congratulations to
Spock/McCoy for achieving those numbers! We also have 96 pictures on
the art page.

The Den looks a bit different. We no longer have a screen cap
section, because it was either screencaps or artwork, until I
increase bandwith. I thought we'd enjoy artwork more. On that same
subject, there's a seperate page for artwork now, which is in
progress. All of the pictures are there, but hopefully, soon, it
will be divided up by artist, like the story page is by author.
There's also a page for vids and other media forms, thanks to the
sudden emergence of such things in the S/Mc fandom.

The link page has been updated, and shall continue to be updated
with more artist and author pages. If you have a page and want it
linked, tell me!

Back to the stories for a second, I'm trying to make sure all of the
links work. I'm sure that most of them do, but if you find a broken
one, just make an announcement and I'll find a way to fix it.

The challenge page has been updated, but is lonely! On one side,
there are the challenges I want answered, on the other are Haven
challenges, but only Kim and Nautika put out a challenge. Please,
give us more. There's also a general Halloween challenge out there,
for stories and artwork, good until the end of the month. Indulge me!

The "How S/Mc is Plausible" page is down. The S/Mc ship manifesto
can now be found linked under my name in the story page, if you ever
get the urge for a little dry reading based on speculation and
pictures.

We still have a guestbook, on the contact page. In case anybody's
curious.

The front page will be used to announce updates, and the "Things to
Come" page is filled with what I plan to do in the near future.

I hope you all enjoy the updated Den. And if there's something
somebody wants to see, just let me know. I'm sure we can do it.

The Den's updated and my personal website is done, too. Everything's
looking peachy.

I'm having a bit of difficulty concentrating, and so if somebody wants to put in a vote from my list of what they want me to work on, it'll be doing me a great favor.

Stories in Progress:

-A BDSM story with McCoy as Dom that I told Birgit about years ago and still haven't finished.
-My e-zine Christmas story, another tearjerker
-My what if? take on the whole katra and fal-tor-pan occurrence, which leads to a reverse in situations of Spock and Len
-The origin story of the twins from "One Wore Blue and One Wore Gray." All I can say about this one is...the Enterprise is never going to be the same after it.
-Operation Maturity: What the Hell is that? I'm proud to say that it's almost finished. All I need is a closer, and the story's already met with Farfalla's stamp of approval, so hopefully I'll have it posted by next week. Bird willing.
-Pon Farr story Number 1: Spock goes into pon farr, and it's graphically described, but not in a sexy way.
-Pon Farr story Number 2: What happens to the boys after the fal-tor-pan? Pon farr's a little different, now. In a way, it could be a companion piece to the other pon farr story.
-Spock and McCoy in High school. That doesn't sound interesting, probably, but I promise it's nice, because I make Spock's parents very creepy and Len's father might well be the best person ever. Plus...Len in jeans and a college sweater.
-S/Mc and K/Sc the day before the launch of the Enterprise-B. I'd been working on and off on this and then after James Doohan's death, I'd put it away. But it needs to be done.

There's a lot of other stuff, but that's the majority of what I'm actually working on. Any suggestions for things to work on will be very accepted.

BDSM and stories and slash

I'd been working on a K/Sc death-themed story, but since Jimmy Doohan's passing, I don't feel much like tackling it, or speaking in Scotty's accent, although I should.

Instead, I picked up the remnants of a BDSM story I started years ago and promised Acidqueen I'd finish and post one of these days. One of these days became years and I have no idea what I'm doing.

That's not true. I've got a lot of ideas and outlines and a couple of poorly drawn sketches of McCoy in leather. So, I know what I'm doing, in a sense.

The problem, besides my slow writing style, is that it just doesn't read like BDSM. It doesn't read like hypno-fetishism (as though it's a surprise to anybody that a kinky story would have my favorite kink in it). It reads like...I don't know if anybody's ever read "Gentleman's Agreement", not the McCoy slash story, but the novel, anyway, it reads like that. And that's not good.

I guess I'm just having trouble mastering the dynamic between Dom and sub, from lack of practical experience. I really don't want to toss this back in the archives, since I don't know when I'll dust it out, but...I don't want it to be pathetic.

Spiced Peaches II is here...

So, July 1 has come along, and with a bunch of hard work and cooperation from a bunch of coyotes, and very little cooperation from Tripod, we have the second issue of Spiced Peaches, informally dubbed "Spiced Peaches II: The Wrath of Pears."

The issue can be found here: http://spockmccoyote.tripod.com/spicedpeachestwo

And we have 14 stories and poems, and 11 pictures. Ironically, that's what we had last time. It seems that 25 is the magic number of submissions. I think it's fantastic. I mean, if I had the money to make this a printed zine, it's would be just as fantastic, more so, because there would be no Tripod involved.

10 people contributed to this e-zine, well, nine, not including me, but I don't really count, because my story is...well...if you've ever had a fetish that burns within your mind, and then wrote about it, and then were bored, you might get what I mean.

Anyway, the contributions range from poem trilogies about desire and need to stories about S/Mc reading slash to daycar stories to K'Chap's 70 page S/Mc sequel to her last submission I've been raving about to pon farr adventures to pictures of Mirror universe kissing and hard core nudity! All and all, this is a great issue, and I say go forth and read!

Plus, the cover art is really trippy.

Three Weeks on the E-Zine

There are about three weeks to get submissions into me for the e-zine, and it's coming...slowly.

Thankfully, K'Chaps has submitted something that I spent an hour reading and...I'm liking this. Truly, and I hope that for issue Three she has a sequel or another story, because despite her love of K/S and K/Mc, she's good with S/Mc too. If you're reading this, K'Chaps, good.

Otherwise, things are where they were a week ago. I need art, I need reading material and I pledge to finish two stories for the zine myself, although already I slap a "this is ridiculous" warning on both of them.

Then, I pull an all-nighter the 30th and put it together so I can publish it the 1st.

And I do it all for free. My priorities are really, really wacked.

A kewpie doll to whoever gets that reference.

Working on Spiced Peaches II, and I realized something. If Tripod were a person, I'd be married to it. I love Tripod and I want to kill it. Sounds like my ideal relationship. It was working, so I got a lot of work done and this e-zine is going to be absolutely ridiculous, but the content was just doubled today, so, slowly, this is coming together. Plus, we have a theme!

Meanwhile, story for Spiced Peaches is coming slowly. It's amazingly fun to write this one, and I'm happy, since previously, I've never had fun writing humor before. I'm a sick SOB and have fun writing things like "The Most Difficult Task" and "That's My Boy" and "Damned Straight", you know, happy things like death and permanant injury and unrequited physical love. So, fun with humor and happiness, I think, is definitely an improvment.

And if I can pull this off, this is going to be hilarious. Or, that's what Farfalla says. Then again, she's a botanist cat with butterfly wings.

The Den: Amazing story count. Spock/McCoy is such a great pairing and the writers and artists are absolutely amazing and I love everyone who has ever helped in the slightest bit with it.

Thirteenth Wave (thunder): I finally got the picture up and I love it. It's from the shuttle scene, the first one, where Len has to shave and he and Spock are flirting in camping gear. They look at ease with one another and they're sexy. Plus, I can't think of anything scarier than Star Trek V. About two and a half months remain for stories, so there's no rush on that.

All-Ages Site: I'm working on updating. It's almost done. Some fifty authors and artists have stuff there. Plus, it's a playground for kidlets. Or it would be. But since I'm not Jesus, I don't think I'm qualified to use a hammer.

The Great Icon Search: Who wants to make me some S/Mc icons? I can't pay you in money, but I can pay you with gratitude, and possibly sexual favors.

One last thing about Spiced Peaches, remember, if you want to contribute a story/poem/picture/manipulation/drabble/video/puppet show to the zine, just email me. It'll go in, people will rejoice and I'll be happy.

The Den is updated. The reason I'm back on my game is that it's updated less than 24 hours after a new story, which is what I used to be able to do back when I was in my prime.

Oh, and the official count is 421 stories plus the nine or so things I wrote that I have linked to other parts of the site.

Oh, how i love this pairing.
